Innovation
This piece of artwork is a self portrait of my brother. I chose the word innovation because my brother is a very creative business person, always coming up with new ideas. It was inspired by Shepard Fairey's artwork. Form is an art element that was used. It was used when making the face to show three dimensions. In addition, the way that I created the nose gives the artwork depth. A very important piece of this artwork were the values. Without using lighter and darker shades of colors the face would not look as detailed. The most successful thing about this work of art was limiting myself to only using five colors to duplicate how Shepard Fairey creates his portraits of various people.
House
This piece of artwork is my house. This project took a very long time because of all the detail that was needed to make my house look like it actually does. An element of art that was used was form. Form was used to make the house look 3d. Form was used on the windows, front step, and roof. In addition, texture was used for the bushes to show that it is a leafy bush. Also, shape, when things are flat, was used on the sky, clouds, grass, and bushes. The most successful thing about this piece of art was the attention detail, which included the brick, using different shades of the same color to make the house look 3D.
Mountains
This piece of artwork is a mountain scene that I created. An art element that was used in this work of art was line. Line was used when creating the path way. Using line makes the mountains look like they are far away and off in the distance. Also, the art element of shape was used on the mountains. Shape was used to make the mountains that are flat and are two dimensional. In addition, the art element of color was used on the mountains with the dark and light shades of blue. The most successful part of this work of art was the path that makes the mountains look like they are far away.
Shoe Repition
This piece of artwork is a drawing of a shoe that I created. The background of the main shoe in the middle is the same shoe in different shapes, sizes, facing different directions, and colors. An art element that was used in this piece of artwork was form. Using form makes it look 3D, using form makes the shoe look better and more realistic. Also, the art element of texture was used to make the stitching of the shoe look more realistic. The most successful piece of this work of art is the stitching all the shoe. Without the stitching on the shoe it would not look like how the real show does.
Silly Strawberry
This piece of artwork is my logo design. It is a silly strawberry that I created. I chose this because I love strawberries and I am a fun person. One art element that was used was shape. Shape was used because it is a flat picture. It is 2D. In addition, the art element of texture was used. I made little yellow dots on the strawberry to make it look the seeds normally found on strawberries. The most successful thing about this piece of artwork were the eyes and tongue to really make the strawberry look silly and fun.
